common questions
Most of our clients choose to work with us because they love the cinematic look of our wedding films. We understand that most people are not professional filmmakers or tech savvy industry professionals so we have provided some answers to some common questions to the more curious ones!
WILL YOU GIVE US THE "RAW FOOTAGE" YOU SHOT FROM OUR WEDDING?
The short answer is yes, we can give you the raw footage of your wedding day, just provide us a personal hard disk with lots of space and you can browse through the footage as you wish! However, we are a professional production company and are payed to supply our clients a completed quality product. The idea of supplying the raw footage is really a misconception of how our films are made. The most important reason of course is storytelling. We are at your wedding day not only to document and film the special day but to tell your unique story in a creative and entertaining way, the actual filming is only a fraction of the whole film-making process.
We put a great deal of work in the post-production phase of your wedding film that really brings the story to life. By just browsing through the raw footage you would not even come close to the full experience by watching your final film.

will you record the sound from the speeches?
Most people often overlook the quality of the sound, and only focus on the beauty of the images. In production circles there is a saying that says good sound is half of what makes a quality film. The cameras that we use for filming produce exceptional quality images, but unfortunately are not made for recording great sound. Therefore we record all of our sound on separate professional audio recording devices. This ensures that we get only the highest quality sound of the day, including speeches, vows and ceremonies. All of the sound is later synced up in post and edited to give you a clear crisp audio track.
How do you achieve the slow motion look?
One technique that we use to make our films look more cinematic and tell your story in a more dramatic fashion is the slow motion approach we apply during the filming process. This is achieved by filming in 60 frames per second (60fps). When viewed in its natural state out of the camera, the 60fps footage will have a fast moving, digital, sport feel to it. However, when slowed down and edited in the proper way, it will take on its smooth, beautiful quality that you see in our films.
Can we use the song by____? we really love to have it in our film!
The use of music is one of the other commonly misunderstood aspects of wedding films. Any music we include in our films must have a license to be used in our productions. If we have not purchased a license and used someone else's song we are technically violating copyright law, something we do not want to do willingly. While in some specific cases "exceptions" can be made, in general we only use music that we have a proper license for.
